*Their volunteers pay only 80% of the costs they incur in delivering the service

 

*Lattitude administers a Bursary Scheme to enable volunteers experiencing financial hardship to participate.

 

*Their fundraising aims to increase the size of the Bursary Fund to enable more young people to volunteer overseas

 

*They have a track record of increasing the diversity of volunteers They are working hard to promote volunteering overseas as an option in schools in areas where there is no tradition of taking a ‘gap year’.

Above all, they are concerned about having a positive impact on the communities in which they send volunteers.

* They have been placing volunteers all around the planet since 1977

* Over 25,000 young people have volunteered under them.

* Today, they place up to 2,000 young volunteers a year in Africa, Asia, the Americas, Europe, and Australasia

* They offer a variety of placements including teaching, caring, environmental, outdoor activity, medical and community development projects.
